Frequently
Asked Questions
When and where do you meet?
Currently we have our regular worship service every Sunday night at
6pm in the Interlachen Seventh Day Adventist Church, about 1.5 miles
south on CR 315 in Interlachen. We are in the process of developing
small groups, an Awana Ministry, and many other areas as we grow.
What does your church
believe?

Our Beliefs page for more

Why start a campus in
Interlachen when you already have a thriving campus in San Mateo?
With soaring gas prices and the effects of an economic crunch
reaching across the nation, the Interlachen campus developed out of
the idea of taking the church to the people. A few members that
lived in the Interlachen area approached Pastor Terry with the idea
of saving them a 60 mile roundtrip drive, but still enjoying the
church family they love. At that time, God had also been working in
the hearts and minds of some of the staff at Dunns Creek about
reaching out from the San Mateo community to so many who have
connected with the Dunns Creek Ministry. From that point, God
continued to provide to lead us to where we are today.
What kind of people
go to Dunns Creek in Interlachen?
Upon driving onto the Dunns Creek campus, you will begin to sense
that you are not going to just another “typical” church. People from
all walks of life attend Dunns Creek. If you are concerned about
fitting in, just imagine Dunns Creek as a rescue boat, not a cruise
ship. Every weekend you will encounter a
diverse group of believers who will love and accept you for who you
are while sharing the life changing truth that Jesus Christ cares
for you and died for your sins.
What can I expect if I
were to visit one Weekend?
Our 6pm service
consists of a blend of modern worship songs and hymns in a
contemporary fashion led by one of the many talented worship leaders
involved at Dunns Creek. The environment is very relaxed, dress is
casual, and Pastor Terry Wright consistently teaches about the
basics of the Christian faith and the freedom that comes
through a Spirit controlled life. His sermons help build
courage and confidence to live a life devoted to Christ.
Do I have to be a member to go to church or do anything at Dunns
Creek?
The only two areas
that require membership are teaching and holding the main leadership
position on a ministry team. Other than these two areas you
are welcomed and wanted all the time.
How is Dunns Creek involved in missions work?
Locally, Dunns Creek
is very active with the Dunns Creek Outreach Ministry called "Hope
For The Hungry",
WHIF 91.3 Radio,
A
Women’s Resource Center, our Men's Ministry team, and the St. Johns River
Baptist Association. Throughout our state we connect and
participate with the Florida Baptist Convention. We associate
nationally with the North American Mission Board and all its
projects and internationally with the International Mission Board.
We have numerous other missions and agencies that we
participate with throughout the region and nation.
Do you have a nursery?
The Children’s Ministry
at Dunns Creek offers childcare in a secure facility staffed by
caring professionals. All our childcare workers receive a background
check before working with us. Children and parents are checked in
and out when leaving the facilities. We offer childcare for babies
and older.
What activities do you have for children?
We are currently in
the process of developing an Awana ministry.
Awana provides a solid
foundation for children to know and grow with God.
